Geo Awareness & EducationThe GSMB conducts awareness programmes to public officer (officers of Divisional Secretariats, Grama Niladhari, Police Officer etc.,) and licence holders on the regulations gazetted under the Mines and Mineral Act and on environmental protection activities that should be followed with mining activities.
Also awareness programmes are conducted considering the importance of making the public, specially the school children and students of higher educational institutes aware on our mineral resources and geo-hazards.
